Launch of of the International Report on Crime Prevention and Community Safety: Trends and Perspectives

The International Report is accompanied by an International Compendium of Crime Prevention Practices.

ICPC launched the International Report and Compendium on September 9 th  2008 in Montreal. The International Report 2008 and Compendium were presented by Claude Dauphin, President of the Executive Committee of the City of Montreal, Raymonde Dury, President of ICPC and  Valérie  Sagant,  Director  General  of  ICPC, in  the  presence  of  Juma  Assiago,  Representa-tive of UN-HABITAT and Slawomir Redo, Representative of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.

More than 100 people took part in the event, among them high-level government representatives  from  Canada  and  Quebec,  city  representatives,  diplomatic  representatives,  diverse policing authorities, as well as partners from social and community services.
