Support Project for the Security Sector Reform - Tunisian government (2013-2014)

From October 2013 to September  2014,  ICPC provided  technical  assistance    to    the    Tunisian Ministry of Interior as part of a project  to  support Security Sector Reform in partnership with UNDP. The mandate  was  to  accompany  two  police  stations  in their  appropriation  of  the  concept  of  community  policing  with  three objectives:  the  creation  of  local
safety  committees  (CLS),  the  development  of  local safety   diagnostics   (DLS)   and   establishing   a   geolocation  platform  for  crime  (crime  mapping).

ICPC  team  conducted  four  field  missions and also gave various training sessions on prevention. ICPC  also  assisted  the  local  safety  committee  in  each municipality  in  holding  their  first  meeting.

Thanks  to the efforts of the Ministry of Interior, UNDP and ICPC, police  stations  in  La  Marsa  Ouest  and  Manaret  Hammamet are now better equipped to deal with safety in their respective areas.
