Analysis Report for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal and interviews conducted with outside partners/ 2009

Evaluation mission, Canada

In order to accompany the Montreal Police Department in its deliberation relative to its new strategy on police community relations, ICPC was mandated to: 1. conduct an analysis of documents and information produced and provided by the SPVM on the topic of community relations and highlight the salient facts (inventory); 2. carry out individual and/or group interviews with various external partners; 3. participate in the steering committee set up by the SPVM.

The final report was delivered to the SPVM in June 2009. It contained analyses and recommendations stemming from the 26 documents studied and 17 interviews carried out with partners from the political, academic, community and health sectors.
