ICPC’s Director, Research and Programmes, Mr. Pablo Madriaza traveled to France from March 13 to 17 2017 for a mission in the framework of the project: “Intervention and prevention response to violent radicalization within the probation system” in collaboration with the French Department of Penitentiary Administration. During this mission, he participated in meetings with research teams in Lyon, Grenoble and Nice, in addition to participating in the national evaluation committee in Paris, where the development of the project was analyzed. This meeting highlighted the progress made in terms of detection protocols and information sharing [repérage et signalement], as well as in relation to the global intervention frameworks specific to each site.

He also held meetings in Paris with representatives from the Comité interministériel de prévention de la délinquance et de la radicalisation (CIPDR), as well as members of “Espoir 18” a local association working in the 18th Arrondissement of Paris to prevent crime.
