- The UN Guidelines for the Prevention of Crime, developed by an Expert Group which met in Vancouver in January 2002, and formally accepted by the UN Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice in Vienna. Guidelines are available for download in several languages.

Launch of Quebec’s Crime Prevention Policy- Ministerial Policy on Crime Prevention (Pour des milieux de vie plus sécuritaires). The policy was launched at the Ministère de la Sécurité Publique’s Annual Colloquium during the province’s Crime Prevention Week in November 2001.
