ICPC Welcomes New MembersICPC's Annual General Meeting, Board of Directors, and the Invitational Annual Colloquium in Paris, was an opportunity for ICPC to welcome new members. Some of the main proceedings of ICPC's 4th Annual Colloquium will be made available in the early months of 2005.
At its meeting, ICPC's Board of Directors confirmed the appointment of Raymonde Dury as President, and renewed the mandates of Michel Marcus as Secretary, and Vera Danyluk as Treasurer. Roger Howard was elected as the new Vice-President of ICPC (picture on right). Roger took up the position of Chief Executive of Crime Concern in September 2003. He was formerly Chief Executive of DrugScope. He is currently a member of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs and the Criminal Justice Council, as well as an advisor to the Association of Police Authorities and the Local Government Association. From 1982 to 1989, he was Assistant Director with NACRO, responsible for their education and training services for offenders throughout England and Wales.
Governments: ICPC is pleased to welcome Chile, Norway, and Hungary as new participating government members. Chile will be represented by Rene Jofre, Chief of the Citizen Security Division (Seguridad Ciudadana), Chilean Ministry of Interior. Norway will be represented by Erling Borstad, Assistant Chief of Police, Analysis and Crime Prevention Section of the National Police Directorate, and Hungary (Observer member) will be represented by Katalin Gönczöl, Ministerial Commissioner for Criminal Policy in the Ministry of Justice.
