Last call to apply for the Dubai 2006 Awards

The deadline for submissions for the 2006 Dubai International Award for Best Practices to Improve the Living Environment is January 31, 2006. These biennial awards are hosted by the municipality of Dubai in partnership with UN Habitat. The 12 big winners will split $360,000 in prize money. Furthermore, all practices that qualify will be showcased on the best practices database (www.bestpractices.org). Appropriate categories for applications include: crime reduction and prevention, public safety, justice system reform, vulnerable groups (including women), and youth at risk.
