On March 24th, 2006, the International Centre for the Prevention of Crime joined the Centre international de criminologie (International Centre for Criminology) of the Université de Montréal in organizing the second ICPC luncheon meeting featuring Mr Michel Wieviorka. Mr Wieviorka holds a PhD in Arts and Human Sciences, and he is Director of studies at the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (School of higher studies in social sciences) and Director of the Centre for Sociological Analysis and Intervention. His presentation centered on the recent urban violence in France. A detailed summary of his presentation will be published shortly.
