Ms.
Dominique Lopez, formerly with the
Observatoire français des drogues et des toxicomanies (OFDT); and now working with the European Monitoring Agency on Drugs and Drug Addiction, and
Daniel Sansfaçon, Deputy Director General of ICPC published an article entitled
Dommages sociaux liés à l’usage de drogues : focus sur les relations et difficultés familiales (Social Harms Relating to Drug Use: Focus on Relationships and Family Problems) in the December issue of France’s
Toxibase. The article is based on the full report prepared by a team lead by Daniel Sansfaçon, which reviewed international literature on social harms related to drugs and alcohol, published earlier in 2005 by the OFDT. This article explores the links between drugs use and abuse, and family issues, including domestic violence and sexual assault.
