European Conference "Conflict Regulation and Mediation in Europe"

An event organised by the City of Angers and the European Forum for 
Urban safety, with the participation of the Council of Europe, 
May 6-7, 2004, Angers, France

The city of Angers and the European Forum for Urban safety are pleased to inform you that a conference is going to be held on the theme of “Conflict Regulation and Mediation in the European cities”.

This event is intended for an audience of professionals from local authorities and for their partners (associations) who are willing to discover innovative experiences from any part of Europe - and to compare their practices.
The experiences that will be introduced to the audience will enable the participants to tackle together the following themes: 

• Mediation: Present state of the research and contribution in the setting up of a mediation and conflict regulation policy.
• Daily management of risky behaviour
• The mediator: mission, training, profile
• Mediation and Action in partnership
• Which innovative practices? 

These themes will be introduced by representatives from European authorities (from Belgium, Sweden, Great-Britain, Netherlands, France, etc…), from National and European institutions as well as international bodies (Council of Europe).
