Among many new site features, we highlight the following:

Administrative Pages

In addition to our mission, core actions, history and current workplan, the website provides information on ICPC’s Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Advisory and Policy Committee, Scientific Committee and staff. A Members Page (coming soon) is also included on the website. This will greatly facilitate the circulation of news and information between ICPC member organizations in the future.

Community Safety and Crime Prevention Knowledge Base

The Knowledge base consists of five main components:
*policies and strategies,
*indicators on crime prevention and community safety,
*practices and projects in prevention,
*an online resource centre, and 
*tools.

We will continue to expand this collection regularly. Given limited resources, much of the information currently contained in the knowledge base is available in English only.

Publications

Our publications area has been updated and expanded to include links to most recent and past ICPC reports and papers, colloborative reports, and presentations and articles by ICPC staff.

International Observer

The monthly edition of the International Observer will continue to appear on the website, together with access to the archives and an index of the main items covered over the past three years. We are also developing an on-going reader response system, to help guide us in selecting topics and issues in crime prevention and community safety. 

Further development of the website will include the expansion of ICPC’s database on policies, strategies, practices, tools, indicators, and documentation on crime prevention. We are also working to incorporate new communication features which will help facilitate a more user friendly and interactive website in the years to come.
