Some course offerings:
  • Exposure to a wide range of integrated local strategies: up-to-date case studies in urban crime prevention, urban renewal and regeneration programs, and a wide range of security and prevention strategy methodology
  • An overview of lessons learned from community policing strategy and problem oriented policing
  • A look at tools for collaborative diagnosis, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of community safety strategies
  • Case studies for understanding government/non-government resource and mandate co-ordination
  • Strategic management issues and successful strategies for building momentum
This is the founding Program for the testing and refinement of future curriculum. Participants will be asked to contribute feedback on content and teaching methods in order to ensure the Institute’s relevancy to future participants and organizations in the field.  Please note that space is limited and while registration is free of charge, travel and accommodation expenses are the responsibility of the participant.
