Slovene Criminological Conference Proceedings The Second National Criminological Conference was organized by the Institute of Criminology, College of Police and Security Studies, and the Slovenian Association of Criminal Law and Criminology in September 2003, in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
The conference discussed various topics from contemporary conceptions of crime prevention to crime prevention planning, the role of the police and community policing, mediation in criminal procedure, new tendencies in dealing with juvenile offenders, control of economic crime, and the participation of prisoners in education processes.
The conference organizers have produced a 51-page booklet of abstracts in English ‘Crime prevention – theory, practice and dilemmas’. It provides a glimpse of the recent discussion on crime and crime prevention in Slovenia.
