At a special meeting held recently in Brussels, the ICPC Board voted in a new President, Mme Raymonde Dury, who is introduced in the previous section of this edition.  Mme Dury replaces Mme Myriam Ezratty, who has served as the President of the ICPC board since 1999.

Myriam Ezratty took on her functions at a time when ICPC was going through some rough financial and organizational waters.  But her firm commitment, her clear judgement, her unfailing good humor, and her genuine respect for all people engaged in ICPC, brought stability and contributed to the establishment of a clear sense of direction.                                                       

Myriam traveled and worked untiringly for ICPC, never failing to follow through on a promise, never missing an opportunity to advance the ICPC agenda. She earned the respect of her fellow board and committee members, and worked diligently to establish a close working relationship between the governing body and the supporting governments.  Mme Ezratty will be appropriately “feted” at the November meetings, but the ICPC staff wanted to take this opportunity to express their own appreciation and thanks for a job well-done, and to wish her the best in her future adventures.
